Yves Saint Laurent is taking an interesting approach to generating buzz on the way to Coachella. The designer is setting up a pop-up cosmetic store en route to the festival. The pop-up received approval this week from Cathedral City City Council for the designer to turn vacant land into the store resembling a mid-century gas station during weekend one of Coachella, according to Desert Sun. Renderings for the project show the old-school “station” surrounded by vintage cars and a retro bus. On April 11, models and clients can attend a preview party at the site and the pop-up will be open from 7:30am-8:30pm April 12-13 and from 7:30am-6:30pm on April 14.
