The ultimate underdog was honored in LA Saturday (March 30) during Rudy in Concert at Microsoft Theater, produced by CineConcerts. Prior to the show, members of the original cast along with director David Anspaugh, writer Angelo Pizzo and producer Carry Woods sat on a panel to talk about the impact of the music created by the late composer Jerry Goldsmith, who scored the film about the Notre Dame athlete who stood at “5-foot-nothing, 100 and nothin.” Pictured above is actor Sean Astin (who played Rudy), Goldsmith’s wife Carol Goldsmith and Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, the 70-year-old inspiration for the film. Look for Dave’s report on Rudy in Concert later today.
