Cori Gadbury has been hired as the first v.p. of marketing for Banc of California Stadium Entertainment, a division of the LAFC Major League Soccer team.​ Gadbury joins BOCS Entertainment with more than two decades of industry experience on more than 1,200 concerts and events across Southern California for Live Nation where she worked for 15 years.

Based out of BOCS Entertainment’s downtown Los Angeles offices, Gadbury will report to Adam Friedman, president of BOCS Entertainment and evp of LAFC Sports. Gadbury will oversee all marketing and advertising operations for all concert and non-MLS sports events at Banc of California Stadium, plus the company’s events at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Banc of California Stadium grounds in Exposition Park. Gadbury will be responsible for the design and execution of marketing and promotion strategies and will also take lead on working with individual partners and clients for the marketing and promotion of their events.

“Cori’s unparalleled experience and proven track record in building brands and marketing a wide range of diverse live entertainment events across Southern California make her the ideal choice for leading our marketing efforts in growing BOCS Entertainment and providing first class service to all of our customers, clients and partners in the marketing and promotion of their events at Banc of California Stadium,” Friedman said in a press release. “She will be a terrific asset in taking BOCS Entertainment to the next level.”

Gadbury joins BOCS Entertainment from Live Nation, where she was senior director of marketing. Previously, Gadbury was employed by LA Weekly as a radio and promotions rep.

Since opening in April 2018, BOCS Entertainment has hosted iHeart Radio Wango Tango by AT&T, Epic Games’ Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am tournament, the first-ever HBO Insecure Fest, three U.S. Open Cup games, an open media workout ahead of the Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady “GGG” Golovkin fight, and the annual Adobe Max, culminating with a concert by Beck. The entertainment division also produced the Súper Clásico: America vs. Chivas match, which drew nearly 60,000 fans to the Coliseum. On Dec. 14-15, BOCS will host the Rolling Loud festival on the Banc of California Stadium Grounds, with more than 50,000 people per day expected to attend the event. Recently, the stadium made its first concert announcement for 2019, revealing that Iron Maiden will take their “Legacy Of The Beast Tour” to BOCS on September 14.
