The Piano Man is preparing for his sixth encore in the City of Brotherly Love, just a few weeks after his 70th birthday.
Yesterday the Philadelphia Phillies and Live Nation Philadelphia announced Billy Joel would be returning to Citizens Bank Park for his sixth consecutive show scheduled for May 24 — Joel’s birthday is May 9.
The six-show run is the longest concert run in the stadium’s 15-year history. As part of the run, the Phillies will have a special kiosk set up to offer tour merch during all home games in May.
Pictured above making the announcement is Geoff Gordon (left) regional president for Live Nation Philadelphia and David Buck, evp of Philadelphia Phillies and of course the iconic Phillie Phanatic mascot.
