ANITA BAKER ANNOUNCES LIMITED ENGAGEMENT AT WYNN LAS VEGAS

Eight-time Grammy winning artist Anita Baker has announced a three-night limited engagement at Wynn Las Vegas. Baker will appear at the intimate Encore Theater Aug. 29-Sept. 2 as part of her Anita Baker – Farewell Concert Series. Performing hits like “Just Because,” “Sweet Love, “Caught Up in the Rapture” and other fan favorites, Baker’s engagement at Wynn will serve as one of the final stops on her farewell tour. The performances are presented by AEG Presents with tickets going on sale Monday (July 2) through WynnLasVegas.com.

SCOTLAND’S BELLADRUM FEST PURCHASED BY DEAG

Through its UK subsidiary Kilimanjaro Live, German company Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG) has acquired a 100% stake in Scotland’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. Belladrum has been exclusively booked by Kilimanjaro for eight of its 15 years since it launched in 2004. This year’s festival, happening from Aug. 2-4at Belladrum Estate is expected to be event’s tenth consecutive sell-out. Headliners or this year’s festival include Franz Ferdinand, The Pretenders, Sister Sledge, KT Tunstall, and First Aid Kit.


POGOSEAT’S TEXT-TO-BUY SAW 80% OF TICKETS PURCHASED IN MINUTES

White-label ticketing solution, Pogoseat, has revealed that its Text-To-Buy product sees 80% users buy event tickets in minutes. Fans sign up to the service and receive text message alerts when tickets to an event become available. Fans reply stating the number of tickets and location they require and are able to see a 2D/3D view from the seat. Once purchased, tickets are delivered to the users via a link in a text message or via other fulfillment methods. Last year, Pogoseat also saw 57% of fans return to the service. Kiran Patel, CEO at Pogoseat, said: “Text-To-Buy offers a fast and convenient method to sell unsold tickets days before an event.
