AUDIENCEVIEW APPOINTS NEW PUBLISHER, COO OF MEDIA DIVISION

Canadian based AudienceView has announced the appointment of Rosemary Maggiore as publisher and COO of its media division which includes TheaterMania, WhatsOnStage, the WhatsOnStage Awards and our US and UK live events membership clubs. Maggiore brings years of experience from her previous roles at Reader’s Digest, Rachael Ray Digital and, most recently, Crain’s New York Business. Maggiore “will play a key role in ensuring our media division is integrated with our technology business so we can realize its full value while maintaining editorial integrity and offering exceptional value for consumers and our advertising customers,” said Mark Fowlie, CEO of AudienceView in a release.


MSG NAMES GERALDINE CALPIN EVP AND CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

The Madison Square Garden Company today announced that Geraldine Calpin has been named the company’s e.v.p. and chief marketing officer, effective immediately. Calpin will report to MSG president Andrew Lustgarten and joins the company from WeWork, where she was chief marketing officer. Prior to WeWork, Calpin had a 16-year career at Hilton Worldwide.


REO SPEEDWAGON TO DONATE MONEY FROM THOUSAND OAKS SHOWS

In response to the tragic mass-shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, Calif. and the heartbreaking loss of life and property from the devastating Woolsey and Hill fires, REO Speedwagon has announced that proceeds from their upcoming performances at the Kavli Theatre at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza will benefit those affected by these terrible events. The band’s concerts on Sat., Jan. 12 and Sun., Jan. 13 will benefit the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Conejo Valley Victims Fund. Additionally, REO Speedwagon announced today performances by special musical guests with ties to the area: Richard Marx, Five For Fighting’s John Ondrasik, and Eddie Money. More guests will be announced prior to the concerts.
