Brian McFadin Exits AEG Seattle
On March 16, longtime Showbox GM and AEG employee Brian McFadin left the company “for a new opportunity,” he explained in a message to Amplify. “It was a great 14 years with the Showbox and AEG as their GM of Showbox venues and Marymoor and the Bumbershoot festival,” where he served as festival director. No word yet on who will replace McFadin.
Tickets.com Launches Latest Version of ProVenue Overseas
Global ticketing company Tickets.com launched the latest version of ProVenue at the Semperoper Opera House in Dresden, Germany on Tuesday. Derek Palmer, Tickets.com’s managing director and executive vice president, international, said: “Today’s announcement is a significant development in the roll out of ProVenue, as not only does it indicate the growing portfolio of customers worldwide that are moving across to new solutions, but it also represents the expansion of our technical infrastructure throughout Europe.”
StubHub Chooses Goodby Silverstein & Partners For Rebranding
The secondary ticketing site StubHub has chosen San Francisco advertising firm Goodby Silverstein & Partners as its global agency record. Along with heading up all marketing for StubHub, GS&P will also be in charge of a major re-haul of the StubHub brand. StubHub revealed a logo redesign by Duncan/Channon in July 2015 and is looking to provide more day-of-event info for consumers about parking, restaurants and weather.
