EMINEM ANNOUNCES FEBRUARY SHOW AT ALOHA STADIUM
Eminem has announced his first U.S. show for 2019. The 13-time Grammy winner will play Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Feb. 15. So far, the rapper only has a handful of headlining dates for 2019. The rapper will play five shows in Australia and New Zealand following his Hawaii appearance from Feb. 20-March 2. Tickets for the Aloha Stadium date go on sale Friday (Dec. 21) at 10am HST through Ticketmaster or the stadium box office.
Christine Pileckas has left Intrust Bank Arena to accept a job at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State, following the retirement of Bernie Punt (pictured center in photo above), director of sales and marketing who started with the building in 1996. Pileckas was the director of booking & marketing for Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita and had been at the building since 2010. Pileckas is a West Chester University grad with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She starts in State College on January 14.
SHAWN MENDES SELLS OUT 1ST STADIUM SHOW IN MINUTES
On Saturday (Dec. 15), Shawn Mendes sold out his first-ever stadium show within minutes of the onsale. Tickets went on sale Saturday for Mendes’ Sept. 6 stop at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. With a 55,000-capacity, Rogers Centre is the largest concert venue in Mendes’ hometown of Toronto. In response to the sell out, Mendes took to Twitter to write: “Seems like I wake up everyday living something I was dreaming about just a few years ago. I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for everything. This insane. Rogers Centre. Sold out. Thank you.”
