EVENTBRITE EARNINGS CALL SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW
Publicly traded ticketing company Eventbrite will host its fourth quarter earnings call tomorrow at 2 pm covering the fourth quarter of 2018. Officers at the company will be on hand to discuss Eventbrite’s financial results and business developments, six months after the firm began trading on the NASDAQ. FORMER BILLBOARD EDITOR CRAIG MARKS LANDS AT THE LA TIMES
The Los Angeles Times has named Craig Marks music editor, effective April 8 and replacing Todd Martens, who will become a critic covering games and immersive entertainment. Marks has previously been executive editor at Billboard and served as editor-in-chief at Spin and Blender magazines and most recently was editorial director for Townsquare Media. Marks is the latest hire since the paper was purchased by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong in June 2018, part of a 30 percent growth of The Times editorial staff. Mark is the co-author of “I Want My MTV: The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution” and of a forthcoming oral history of World Wrestling Entertainment.
METALLICA SETS ATTENDANCE RECORD FOR INTRUST BANK ARENA
Metallica made history at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas as the venue welcomed 15,690 fans the sold-out show. The March 4 performance of the band’s WorldWired tour set an attendance record for the nine year-old venue. “Hosting Metallica in Wichita for the first time in nearly 15 years was an absolute thrill and we couldn’t be more excited to see our community support this concert in such a big way,” said SMG general manager, AJ Boleski. “We pride ourselves in hosting world-class entertainment at Intrust Bank Arena and now these world-class entertainers will be cemented in our history for the highest attended concert.
