EVENTBRITE SECURES $150M FINANCING DEAL

Newly public ticket company Eventbrite has secured a $150 million financing deal with a number of banks in a deal being administered by JP Morgan Chase, the company disclosed in an 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this month. The five-year deal includes a senior secured term loan for $75 million and a senior secured revolving credit facility for $75 million. “Proceeds of the Term Loan Facility and the Revolving Credit Facility, if drawn, will be used for general corporate purposes,” the company wrote in a disclosure. On Friday, Eventbrite closed at $28 per share, up a third-of-a-point from its previous close.


JOE RAINEY, POP PROMOTION EXEC.FOR CAPITOL RECORDS, DIES AT 43

Joe Rainey, senior vice president of pop promotion and marketing for Capitol Records, has died. He was 43, according to All Access Music Group. “All of us at CMG are incredibly shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely passing of our colleague and friend, Joe Rainey,” Greg Marella, executive vice president of promotion for Capitol Music Group, said in a statement sent to Billboard. “He will be greatly missed. We offer our most heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time.”


ORLANDO’S NEW POLICE CHIEF IS NAMED ORLANDO

Orlando’s newest police chief is already making a name for himself. His name? Orlando Rolon. Mayor Buddy Dyer announced Rolon will be the city’s first Hispanic police chief, during a ceremony last week. The Orlando Sentinel reports Rolon previously was a deputy chief overseeing the agency’s patrol services bureau.
