LA’S GREEK THEATRE TEAMS UP WITH CHEF NEAL FRASER
The Greek Theatre, managed by SMG, announced a culinary venture with Chef Neal Fraser, owner of Redbird | Vibiana. Chef Fraser culinary influence will be echoed throughout the Greek Theatre’s box suite menus, express dining options, and special events catering. Menu highlights include: a 32oz Aspen Ridge Colorado beef Porterhouse with King Oyster mushrooms and aged balsamic vinegar for two and The Greek Theatre Platter with Ahi tuna rolls, edamame, cucumber salad and Shishito peppers. “As a native Angeleno, it is exciting to be part of this historic Los Angeles music venue.,” said Chef Fraser in a release.
CHUCK LA VALLEE MEMORIAL PLANNED FOR APRIL 28 IN LA
A celebration of life for music executive Chuck La Vallee has been scheduled for Sunday April 28 from 3 to 5 pm at Hollywood Forever cemetery, located at 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard. Organized by the friends and family, including La Vallee’s wife Dana Dickey, the two-hour ceremony will honor the life and impact of the music manager, agent and former StubHub executive.
KCRW ANNOUNCES DETAILS FOR 2ND SEASON OF PODCAST ‘LOST NOTES’
KCRW’s music podcast Lost Notes will return for its second season on April 25 with industry journalist and author Jessica Hopper as host and executive producer. Lost Notes examines untold stories from music history, and, this season, explores the idea of legacy. “These episodes get into whose work, and whose story is considered worth remembering and why. Every episode gives context around the cultural forces that shaped, and in some cases, complicated an artist’s career,” Hopper said of the new season in a release. The eight-episode season will feature ‘documentaries’ on the first all-female band signed to a major label, a lost Pakistani folk-pop and British new wave masterpiece, a avant-garde synth composer who wrote Coca-Cola advertisements and more.
