LIVE NATION PROMOTES ARTHUR MROCZEK TO A VICE PRESIDENT
Today, Live Nation has announced the promotion of Arthur Mroczek to vp of non-traditional entertainment for U.S. concerts. Mroczek will expand the company’s presence in the alternative touring space including special exhibits, family programming, experiential events, and eSports across the country. Mroczek joined Live Nation in 2012 and has lead the partnership with Cirque du Soleil, and will continue to manage this business nationwide in his expanded role. He started his career with Feld Entertainment where he managed tours for Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey and Disney on Ice among others throughout North America.
OAK VIEW GROUP NAMES COO OF CHASE CENTER
Oak View Group has named Stephen Collins as their new COO of Chase Center in San Francisco. Collins will take over the role in July of 2019 following the completion of the Golden State Warriors new sports and entertainment complex. Collins will be responsible for overseeing the construction of and completion of all of OVG’s Arena Alliance projects and join the Executive Management team.
CHUCK D TO CHAIR CELEBRITY BOARD OF HIP HOP MUSEUM
Public Enemy co-founder Chuck D will chair the celebrity board of the upcoming Universal Hip Hop Museum in the Bronx. After securing $20 million in initial funding, the new museum will break ground in December of 2019 and is expected to open in 2022. The 50,000-square foot venue will be housed in a 25-floor high-rise at the new Bronx Point development, walking distance from Yankee Stadium. Of Chuck D, Universal Hip Hop Museum chairman of the board Kurtis Blow adds, “The credibility he brings to our team is mammoth. He also understands the importance of the UHHM and vows to let the world know via a star-studded celebrity board in the near future. Flame on!”
