MUMFORD & SONS BREAKS LITTLE CAESARS ARENA RECORD
British folk group Mumford & Sons broke Little Caesars Arena’s attendance record with their March 27 performance. Playing in the round, the group welcomed 17,794 concert-goers to the less than two-year-old venue according to The Oakland Press. The previous record-holder for the Detroit arena was Jay-Z who played the facility in November 2017. “It’s not a competition, but…,” a grinning Marcus Mumford said on stage during the show according to news site. “We love Jay-Z…Jay-Z will be back.”
LIVESTYLE ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
President of LiveStyle Gary Richards has named Taylor Stevens the new director of business development for All My Friends. Most recently, Stevens worked at his own concert promotion/production company, the CLCTV. In his new position, Stevens is tasked with the management and expansion of the AMF and LiveStyle brands. Additionally, several CLCTV events will roll into the LiveStyle portfolio of properties. Stevens will report to Richards and will be based in LiveStyle’s Beverly Hills offices.
GHOST ANNOUNCES 2019 NORTH AMERICAN DATES FOR FALL
Swedish rock band Ghost has announced a six-week North American headline tour launching on Sept. 13 in California. Produced by Live Nation and billed as the “Ultimate Tour Named Death,” the outing will cross the U.S. and Canada for 24 dates that conclude on Oct. 25 in New York. The newly announced trek will follow Ghost’s opening slots on Metallica’s “WorldWide” European Stadium Tour. A series of ticket presales begin tomorrow (April 2) at 10am local time. Most tickets for the “Ultimate Tour Named Death” go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday (April 5) at 10am local time.
