SANFORD CENTER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RESIGNS

Sanford Center executive director Jeff Kossow has resigned from his role in Bemidji, Minnesota according to an announcement from VenuWorks owner and president Steve Peters. Kossow has accepted an executive leadership position at a law firm and will be relocating his family to Kennewick, Washington. “Jeff Kossow has made significant contributions to the Sanford Center and the community of Bemidji. He has been a tremendous asset and we are grateful for everything he has accomplished, I wish him and his family the very best,” said Bemidji Mayor Rita Albrecht in a release. VenuWorks and the City of Bemidji will conduct a nationwide search for Kossov’s position which he will vacate on June 30.


CFE ARENA TO BE RENAMED ADDITION FINANCIAL ARENA

The Spectra managed CFE Arena, located on the campus of the University of Central Florida in Orlando will undergo a makeover this spring as the venue changes its name to Addition Financial Arena. The CFE Financial Credit Union is changing its name to Addition and owns the naming rights to CFE Arena. The credit union and the arena will both bare the new name as of May 1. “Under our new name, we will remain dedicated to our heritage in education, and will proudly serve the university in the years to come,” said Kevin Miller, CFE’s president and CEO in a release.


GOLDSTAR TAKES TOP HONOR AT TICKETING BUSINESS AWARDS

At the Ticketing Business Awards, held last night at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, England, Goldstar’s Matchmaker took top honors in the Insights and Analytics category. The Award recognizes the best integration or application of data analysis and insights to an entertainment ticketing challenge. “Matchmaker is an advanced technology, which uses complex data to determine and deliver the shows best matched for each and every one of our 10 million members in their emails. Or, simply put, mass customization of event recommendation that helps raise awareness for events,” said Goldstar co-founder and chairman of the board Rich Webster, who accepted the award at the ceremony.
