MARKETING AGENCY SUNSET BLVD SIGNS ELIZABETH TAYLOR ESTATE
Los Angeles-based marketing agency Sunset Blvd will now be the agency of record for the Elizabeth Taylor Estate focusing on licensing and partnership opportunities. By way of its multi-dimensional approach to marketing and partnerships, Sunset Blvd endeavors to incite meaningful moments that amplify Elizabeth’s impact throughout culture. “We are delighted to partner with Marshall (Eskowitz), Carey (Schwartz) and Sunset Blvd to lead us into the next chapter of brand, licensing, and cultural opportunities to help a whole new generation fall in love with Elizabeth,” said Erin Dawkins, VP of brand operations for House of Taylor, The Elizabeth Taylor Companies in a release. “Their unique experience working with brands and talent, and expertise identifying business opportunities is exciting as we embark on writing the next chapter in Elizabeth Taylor’s storied legacy.”
LOS TIGRES BREAK RODEO HOUSTON RECORD 11 DAYS AFTER CARDI
That didn’t take long. Less than two weeks after Cardi B broke the attendance record at RodeoHouston, Los Tigres del Norte took back the record long held by Norteno artists. Only once in the last five years has a country artist held the record (Garth Brooks broke it in 2018), and typically its been an artist playing the events famed Go Tejano Day honoring Texans of Mexican descent. On March 1, Cardi B broke the record with an attendance of 75,580, only to be undone nine days later by Los Tigres who somehow managed to squeeze six more fans into NRG Stadium.
STEELY DAN TO HAVE FIRST THREE-NIGHT RESIDENCY AT MET PHILLY
Steely Dan will become the first musical act to perform a three-show residency at The Met Philadelphia when they perform three of their classic albums in their entirety over a three-show run at the newly restored venue. The band will perform Aja on Nov. 6, Gaucho on Nov. 8 and Greatest Hits on Nov. 9. In addition to playing one of their classic albums in its entirety each night, Steely Dan is expected to play many of their hits. Founded in 1972, Steely Dan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and helped define the soundtrack of the ‘70s. Steely Dan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Tickets will go on sale on Friday (March 15) at 10am at TheMetPhilly.com.
