WRESTLEMANIA SETS RECORD AT METLIFE STADIUM

WrestleMania 35 set a record at a MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J, grossing $16.9 million in ticket sales, the previous record was $12.3 million from WrestleMania 29 in 2013. Last night was also the third-highest in-person attendance at a WrestleMania event with 82,265 fans, and was the second-highest grossing event in WWE history. This year’s event was the first WrestleMania to feature an all-female main event on its card with wrestler Becky Lynch winning a three-way contest with Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.


ROBYN ADDS MORE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

Swedish pop star Robyn has added dates to her North American tour. Following her trek across the U.S. this spring, Robyn will return in July for four more headlining dates along with Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. Robyn will play The Mann Center in Philadelphia on July 17, Barclays Center in Brooklyn on July 19, the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on July 25 in San Francisco and will close out the newly announced dates with a performance on July 27 at the Forum in Inglewood, California. Tickets will be on sale to the general public on Friday (April 12) at 10am in all local time zones.


UPCOMING DUBAI ARENA TO BECOME COCA-COLA ARENA

AEG Ogden announced today that the anticipated Dubai arena owned by landmark developer within the United Arab Emirates Meraas has signed a naming rights partner for the new facility. The Coca-Cola Company has signed a 10-year agreement to be the naming rights partner of the newly dubbed Coca-Cola Arena, the UAE’s first multipurpose live music, indoor sports and events arena. With a capacity of 17,000 the Coca-Cola Arena will have the capability to host large scale live events 365 days a year and is expected to open in June of this year. “This naming rights agreement is hugely beneficial for Dubai and Coca-Cola, which are both internationally recognised brands in their own rights,” said AEG Ogden’s CEO Guy Ngata in a release.
