ALISON KRAUSS ANNOUNCES TOUR, PLUS DATES WITH WILLIE NELSON
Alison Krauss has announced a 50-date tour for 2018 kicking off on May 16 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at BOK Center. The tour will find the accomplished bluegrass-country singer and musician performing headlining dates in cities including Memphis, Toronto, Austin, and New Orleans. The first seven dates on this tour will be co-headlining shows with Willie Nelson and Family, and the two will share the stage for a total of 17 dates throughout the summer. Tickets for most dates will go on sale here on April 6 at 10am local time along with most newly announced dates with Nelson.
AEG’S MILLY OLYKAN JOINING COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION
AEG Presents’ VP of Live Music and Major Arena Events Milly Olykan will take on the role of VP of International Relations and Development for Country Music Association. At AEG, Olykan developed in-house commercial content programs for The O2 in London and was the founding festival director and co-promoter of the Country To Country festival. Olykan, who has been on the CMA Board since 2014, will begin in her new role in mid-may and be based in Nashville. The role will see Olykan be responsible for furthering the CMA’s global expansion initiatives.
NY AMPHITHEATER NAMING RIGHTS GOES TO HOSPITAL FOR $1.5M
Onondaga County in New York has agreed to a $1.5 million naming rights deal with St. Joseph’s Health for its local amphitheater. The five year deal was brokered by the amphitheater’s promoter, Live Nation. As a result of negotiating the deal for the county, the county legislature announced that Live Nation will receive half of the money, $750,000. Live Nation negotiated a similar deal with the healthcare provider at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island under similar terms.
