CHRIS STAPLETON & ARCADE FIRE TO HEADLINE SLOSS MUSIC FEST
Sloss Music Festival in Birmingham, Alabama has announced the lineup for their 2018 edition with headliners Chris Stapleton, Arcade Fire, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and Griz. The July 14-15 festival will also include performances from St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Vance Joy, The War on Drugs, and Margo Price. UNRELEASED MATERIAL SET TO DEBUT AT 4-DAY PRINCE TRIBUTE
On April 21, the Target Center will host “Prince: Live On the Big Screen,” a special concert event in his hometown of Minneapolis. The show will feature Prince’s all-star band with special guests performing live along with “newly remastered and never-before-released audio and video of Prince accompanied live on the Target Center stage by a super-group of musicians who performed alongside Prince throughout his legendary career.” The event will be part of a four-day event known as Celebration 2018, which will honor the life and legacy of Prince from Apr. 19-22.
THE ATARIS BASSIST ACCUSED OF $27M FRAUD SCHEME
Bassist for pop-punk group The Ataris, Michael Davenport, has been accused of defrauding 100,000 people throughout the United States. U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Illinois indicted Davenport in December of defrauding people out of $27 million over seven years through his company American Standard which was founded in 2009. The company would sell interested home buyers ‘house listings’ for $199 which they falsely claimed would also cover “title searches and deed transfers.”
