Ticketer Paciolan has entered into a partnership with the Sioux City, Iowa to power ticket sales and account management capabilities for Siouxland-area fans. The 10,000-seat Tyson Events Center entertains the community with events including sports and music and serves as the home venue for the United States Hockey League’s Musketeers and the Champions Indoor Football League’s Sioux City Bandits. The Orpheum Theatre is home to the Sioux City Symphony and an annual Broadway series. “We are excited to work with Paciolan, in partnership with the City of Sioux City, to provide a fantastic experience to the more than 300,000 fans that come through our doors each year,” said Spectra’s Erika Newton, General Manager of the Tyson Events Center and Orpheum Theatre in a release.

Live Nation continues to expand in Japan with the appointment of talent booker James Smith as VP, touring and festivals. Based in Tokyo, Smith will focus on attracting top global artists to Live Nation’s growing number of events across Japan, and will report to John Boyle, President, Live Nation Japan. With over ten years of experience including bringing big names to Japan’s largest music festival Fuji Rock, Smith will play a crucial role in securing and introducing Japan’s market to newly emerging talent, while connecting artists with this expanded fan base.
LODGING SOLUTIONS WIDGET STAY22 RAISES $750,000 IN SEED MONEY
Stay22 has raised $750,000 in seed money to continue helping fans find the best hotels and Airbnbs near their favorite events. The lodgings solutions widget curates hotel and Airbnb listings close to the event destination which both event organizers and ticket providers can embed on their respective website and platforms. Stay22 offers a revenue share deal with the organizer through a pay-per-booking model. “Stay22 is excited to take the lead in transforming the event travel industry when it comes to how booking accommodations for events should be done,” said Andrew Lockhead, CEO of Stay22 in a release. “In the touring business, enabling event travelers to have a great experience in booking accommodations is the first step to attract attendees to events.”
